what we've been up to

now is the time when it is nice to be living in texas. while everyone else is freezing and getting snow we are having our best weather of the year. just beautiful days where it is hard not to spend all day outside before it is to unberably hot to go outside.

so a few minutes into our walk i turn around and dominic is leaning back against the wagon reading his book like some adult relaxing in the sun. too cute.

dominic has to stop at every ant hill on our walk. he use to like to kick them but he learned pretty fast that wasn't such a good idea (ant bites are alot more painful than you think there is a reason they call them fire ants) now he just pretend kicks them like in the picture below.

lately dominic has been patting the seat next to him when he sits down until I sit next to him. if I'm not fast enough he'll add in the command "mommy, sit."

after i sat down next to him he got off the bench went over to the wagon and grabbed my water turned to me and pointing said "mommy's cup" and brought it to me. pretty sweet boy, most of the time.

this is his camera smile. when i tell him to come take a picture he'll come and stand right in front of me and smile like this. he looks just like his dad when he smiles like that.

dominic still loves lightening mcqueen. he has never liked stuffed animals or blankets but every night when he goes to bed he has to have the four cars he is playing with in this picture to sleep with.

every time I tell dominic it is time to get in the bath he immediately starts asking for his bubbles because what's a bath without bubbles? boring, that's what.

this next part might be boring for anyone who isn't my immediate family. i have been complaining about how there are no cute decorations in my house and my family really came through for me. for my birthday they sent me somethings that i could decorate myself and put up in my house giving me something fun to do and making my house more beautiful. thank you for saving me from my depressing self for awhile. love you guys!

my mom gave me some metal heart magnets that i could decorate and put on my fridge.

severin made me these wood blocks and stained them then I mog podged what I wanted on them and ta da! another cute thing in my house.

haley this thing is awsome thank you so much. just one of those things that is small but makes cooking so much easier and makes my kitchen a little cuter too.

and lastly, mom, i just wanted to show you what i did with the (i don't know what to call it) picture frame you gave me for christmas. love it!
